Yen Nears Critical Threshold for Potential Intervention
The risk of Japanese Yen intervention is back in focus as Japan returns from holiday after a two-week long slide in the currency puts it within reach of the closely watched level of 160 per dollar.
A slight gain of 0.3% to around 157.85 versus the US Dollar in Thursday morning trading in Tokyo has had little impact against the past four days of losses.
The Japanese Yen's slide is a concern for investors, as it approaches the threshold that could trigger intervention by the Bank of Japan.
