Yen Strengthens Ahead of BoJ Decision Amid Fed Hike

The USD/JPY currency pair is trading at 155.80 on Thursday, down 0.28% from its two-week high of 156.42 reached overnight after the Federal Reserve's interest rate hike.

On Wednesday, the Fed raised rates by 25 basis points to 3.75-4.00%, with most officials projecting at least one more quarter-point increase by year-end.

The Bank of Japan is expected to follow suit on Friday, raising its policy rate by 25 basis points to 1.25% and potentially signaling another rate hike later this year.
