Yen Surges on Warning of Weakness from Japan’s Currency Czar
The yen has experienced a significant surge in value after Japan's currency czar, Atsushi Mimura, issued another warning about its weakness. In a recent interview with Reuters, Mimura stated that Japan's prime minister and finance minister, along with the US, have sent a 'very clear' message about the yen's depreciation.
The Japanese currency rose by as much as 0.4% to 156.51 per dollar, reaching its strongest level since September 18. This increase in value comes after Mimura's warning, which has had an immediate impact on the market.
