Yen Weaks Without Intervention Support
The Japanese Yen continued to weaken against the US Dollar, closing at 157.41 after reversing its intraday losses.
This comes as a result of Japan's Ministry of Finance data confirming no foreign exchange intervention between August 27 and September 28, following a record $98.7 billion coordinated US-Japan operation in July.
The absence of support from the Japanese government weighed heavily on the Yen, which has been under pressure due to elevated US yields and firm Dollar conditions.
