Yinson Renewables has secured NZ$290 million (RM760 million) in financing for its Mt Cass Wind Farm project in New Zealand. The funding package includes senior construction and term loan facilities, a debt service reserve facility, and instrument facilities.

MUFG Bank Ltd led the financing alongside HSBC and Bank of New Zealand, with all three acting as mandated lead arrangers and bookrunners. MUFG also served as sole structuring coordinator, facility agent, and security trustee, while HSBC acted as account bank.

The wind farm is expected to generate enough clean electricity to power about 40,000 homes and contribute to New Zealand's decarbonisation efforts. Construction of the project began earlier this year, with commercial operations targeted for 2028.
