Zervos Joins Trump Administration as Counselor to Treasury Secretary Bessent

David Zervos, a market strategist and policy adviser, has been appointed as a counselor to Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent at the U.S. Department of the Treasury.

Zervos was previously considered for Federal Reserve Chair before Kevin Warsh was chosen.

The move comes after Zervos drew media attention as the rumored partner of Kellyanne Conway, a veteran GOP strategist and former Trump adviser.

Industry veterans praised the move, with Jefferies CEO Rich Handler noting that Zervos's experience and perspective will be 'of great service' to the USA during a complicated time for markets.
