ZEW Expectations Index for Switzerland Reaches 12.1 in August
The ZEW Indicator of Economic Sentiment for Switzerland rose to 12.1 in August 2025, up from 10.0 in July, indicating a modest improvement in investor confidence for the Swiss economy over the next six months.
The survey, conducted by the Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW) in cooperation with Credit Suisse, polls financial market experts and institutional investors about their expectations for the Swiss economy.
A positive value indicates that more respondents expect improvement than deterioration. The latest reading reflects cautious optimism among analysts, driven by resilient domestic demand and easing global inflationary pressures.
