Zulum Seeks Canadian Partnerships in Economic Diversification Efforts
Borno State Governor Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum has arrived in Canada to strengthen partnerships between the state and Canadian institutions, industries, and investors.
The visit is part of Governor Zulum's efforts to diversify Borno's economy and attract expertise and investment to support the state's ongoing recovery and development.
During his stay, the Governor will engage with representatives of leading Canadian universities, technology hubs, agricultural research institutions, and private-sector organisations in areas such as education, skills development, agriculture, livestock, technology, and investment.
The focus will be on technical cooperation, knowledge transfer, and capacity building, particularly in education, where Governor Zulum hopes to explore opportunities for scholarships and academic partnerships for students from Borno.
