$1 Billion Award Pumps Up IBM-Backed Quantum Wafer Foundry
Anderon LLC, an IBM company, has secured $1 billion in funding from the U.S. Department of Commerce under the CHIPS and Science Act.
The award will accelerate Anderon's research and development efforts to advance quantum wafer manufacturing capabilities in the US.
Anderon operates a state-of-the-art 300-millimeter pure-play quantum wafer foundry, backed by an additional $1 billion investment from IBM.
The company offers specialized wafers supporting high-performance superconducting qubit arrays and other foundational capabilities that support various quantum architectures.
