$10 Billion for American Infrastructure: Coca-Cola's Ambitious Plan
Coca-Cola has announced plans to invest $10 billion in US infrastructure by 2030. The investment will be made from 2026 through 2030 and includes projects previously announced in states such as California, Colorado, Alabama, and New York.
The $10 billion figure is a system-wide total, not just Coca-Cola's own capital expenditure, and also includes its bottling partners' investments. According to CFO John Murphy, the company did not immediately respond to a request for comment on this matter.
Coca-Cola's US system has significant economic impact, contributing $85 billion to the country's GDP in one year alone and supporting nearly 1 million jobs. An independently commissioned study by the beverage giant found that its system also spent about $37 billion with US suppliers and contributed $177 million to community programs together with its Coca-Cola Foundation and the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation.
