13 Stocks Slammed by Morningstar as Overvalued
Each Monday morning, Morningstar releases its insights on company news and stock market trends. The latest report from September 25 highlights 13 stocks that are now considered overvalued by the firm's analysts.
Morningstar's rating system assigns 1 to 5 stars to stocks based on their price, fair value estimate, and uncertainty rating. A 4 or 5-star rating indicates a stock is undervalued, while a 1 or 2-star rating suggests it's overvalued.
The five new 2-star stocks with the largest market capitalization are Micron Technology (MUSK), Hynix SKHYPALO ALTO Networks PANW, Amgen AMGN, and Qualcomm QCOM. These companies have seen their prices climb into ranges that warrant a 2-star rating from Morningstar.
Meanwhile, three stocks have been downgraded to a 1-star rating: Arm ARMIllumina ILMN, and Brinker International EAT. These companies' prices are now considered significantly higher than their fair value estimates by Morningstar analysts.
