14DAYPILOT Expands with FAA Part 142 Airline Type Rating Programs
14DAYPILOT Type Rating has expanded its services by adding FAA Part 142 airline type rating programs for Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 Pilot-in-Command (PIC) type ratings. The company has secured FAA certificate JTFX439K, allowing it to offer structured, simulator-based training under FAA Part 142 regulations. This new training center complements its existing Part 61 programs, providing a broader range of options for professional pilots.
The new programs include scenario-oriented instruction and a pathway for foreign Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) holders to obtain an FAA ATP certificate. Eligibility for this pathway is subject to FAA experience requirements and the completion of applicable knowledge and practical tests. This expansion marks a significant step for 14DAYPILOT, which previously focused on accelerated Private Pilot, Instrument, Commercial, and instructor training.
In January 2026, AFM reported that 14DAYPILOT was in the final phase of securing FAA Part 142 approval for its Airbus A320 PIC Type Rating program. The company had planned an FAA-supervised evaluation course for March 2026 and intended to later expand into Boeing 737 training. Additionally, 14DAYPILOT’s founder, Capt. Dr. Gema Goeyardi, announced in 2026 that the company had acquired Jetflow Aviation Training as part of its transition into the Part 142 type rating operation.
The current course portfolio includes accelerated A320 and Boeing 737 type rating programs, ATP initial training, and ICAO/EASA-to-FAA conversion pathways. This expansion positions 14DAYPILOT as a comprehensive provider of transport-category aircraft qualifications for professional pilots.
