A seven-day enforcement operation in Polk County, Florida, led to the arrest of 281 suspects involved in human trafficking and child sexual predation. Among those arrested were 17 employees from Disney World and Universal Studios, including 13 from Disney and four from Universal. Sheriff Grady Judd highlighted that 31 suspects traveled to the county with the intent to engage in sexual activity with a child.
Judd described the operation as targeting predators who prey on children, emphasizing the disturbing nature of the arrests. He noted that 32 of the suspects were undocumented immigrants, 16 of whom have been transferred to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Additionally, 24 suspects brought firearms to their meetings, and nine were on probation.
Some of the arrested individuals included a head coach of a youth sports team, an active-duty Navy member, and a former Disney employee who worked as a Mickey Mouse character and had a diaper fetish. Another Disney employee was arrested while wearing his uniform, attempting to meet an undercover detective posing as a 13-year-old boy. Disney cooperated with law enforcement and has since fired all the implicated employees.
