$1.78 Million Bet on AXP: Texas Capital Bank Takes Stake in American Express

Texas Capital Bank Wealth Management Services Inc has invested $1.78 million in American Express Company, according to its most recent filing with the Securities & Exchange Commission.

The firm acquired a new stake in American Express during the second quarter by purchasing 5,265 shares of the payment services company's stock.

This is not an isolated incident as several other institutional investors have also made changes to their positions in American Express. BlackRock Inc bought a new stake in American Express worth approximately $14.21 billion, while State Street Corp boosted its stake by 1.3% during the fourth quarter.

Capital World Investors increased its position in shares of American Express by 46.7% in the fourth quarter, and Bank of America Corp DE also increased its position in shares of American Express by 7.7% in the same quarter.
