$2.3 Billion Daily: Why Betting Against the Magnificent 7 Keeps Failing
The so-called Magnificent 7 group of tech companies has seen its collective operating income rise to $2.3 billion per day, according to recent data. NVIDIA leads the pack with a daily operating income of $541 million, up 124% year over year. Microsoft's commercial backlog hit $678 billion in fiscal 2026, while Alphabet's cloud backlog of $514 billion alone exceeds most companies' entire market caps.
The group's growth story has become routine, and the label 'Magnificent 7' is no longer mentioned as much on cable TV. However, the cash flows have continued to accelerate. Breaking down the daily figure reveals a pecking order among the seven companies: NVIDIA (NVDA) $541 million, Microsoft (MSFT) $425 million, Alphabet (GOOG) $404 million, Amazon (AMZN) $257 million, Meta Platforms (META) $238 million, Apple (AAPL) $424 million, and Tesla (TSLA) $13 million.
The divergence in share-price behavior has been significant. While NVIDIA is up 23.5% over the last 12 months, Apple has climbed 44.98%, and Alphabet is up 39.68%. Microsoft is essentially flat at -0.26% over one year, Meta has slipped -13.42%, and Tesla is down -18.74% year to date.
