$250 Billion Pledge for US Infrastructure Projects
Bank of America has pledged to mobilize $250 billion in financing for critical US infrastructure projects. The initiative, which runs from 2026 to 2027, targets three areas: digital infrastructure, including data centers; energy and power; and other 'core' infrastructure, such as transportation and critical minerals.
The bank's co-president, Jim DeMare, said that the project will 'drive growth, create jobs, and define America's next chapter.' This announcement follows a similar pledge by JPMorgan to mobilize $1.5 trillion for US critical industries in October 2025.
Bank of America is also involved in a massive data center project in Saline Township, Michigan, which will be occupied by Oracle. The bank has structured the debt for this project through 19-year bonds instead of traditional bank lending to attract investors and allow potential refinancing.
