$3B Michigan LIFT Program Tackles Manufacturing Challenges
Ford Motor Co., JPMorgan Chase, and the state of Michigan have launched the $3 billion Michigan LIFT (Launchpad for Industrial Innovation and Transformation) program to address manufacturing and supply chain challenges.
The initiative aims to connect suppliers with industry buyers to tackle needs in robotics and automation, critical minerals processing, semiconductors, and other priority areas. Industry buyers do not have to be based in the state to participate.
Ford and JPMorgan Chase each pledged up to $1 billion to the program, with Ford focusing on advancing workforce development and JPMorgan Chase prioritizing financing industries dependent on critical minerals.
