$4.1 Billion Deal: Coca-Cola Acquires Vitaminwater Parent Company with 50 Cent as Stakeholder

In 2007, Coca-Cola acquired Glacéau, the parent company of Vitaminwater, for $4.1 billion in cash.

The acquisition included a 71.4% interest at the time, with Coca-Cola later acquiring the remaining 28.6% interest associated with Tata.

Rapper 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis James Jackson III, held an equity stake in Glacéau through his promotion of the Formula 50 Vitaminwater flavor.

According to Forbes, 50 Cent's stake generated a $100 million gain after Coca-Cola acquired Glacéau in 2007.
