A $50 million settlement has been reached in a lawsuit against The Walt Disney Company over allegedly inflated streaming prices. Subscribers of YouTube TV, DirecTV Stream, and FuboTV accused Disney of using its size to raise prices on its own products.

The plaintiffs claimed that Disney's actions led to price increases across the market, specifically since taking control of Hulu in 2019. They are seeking damages and injunctive relief to halt and unwind Disney's anticompetitive practices.

Disney denied any wrongdoing but agreed to a partial settlement with YouTube TV and DirecTV Stream subscribers. Those who qualify will receive a pro rata cash payment proportional to the length of their subscription, split between repealer and non-repealer jurisdictions.
