$518 Billion AI Spending Plan Set to Boost Cloud Computing Giants
Anthropic, an artificial intelligence startup behind Claude, has revealed plans to spend $518 billion on cloud computing and AI infrastructure over the next decade. This massive investment will go towards supporting its AI expansion and is expected to benefit major cloud computing companies.
The largest recipients of this spending will be Alphabet (GOOG) and Amazon (AMZN), with Anthropic planning to spend at least $111.1 billion with Google and $110 billion with Amazon over the next decade. This investment will further strengthen their partnership, as the two companies have already been collaborating on cloud computing and AI infrastructure.
In addition to Alphabet and Amazon, Microsoft (MSFT) is also set to benefit from Anthropic's spending plan, with the company committing to investing $5 billion in the AI startup. Microsoft has previously worked with Anthropic to make Claude available across its products, including GitHub Copilot, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and Copilot Studio.
