A proposed $580 million data center in Prosper has been recommended for denial by the town's officials. The project, named Project Tomahawk, was met with opposition from residents who spoke out against it during a recent meeting. The Prosper Planning and Zoning Commission voted 7-0 to recommend denial of the project.

The data center would have occupied 37.3 acres near the intersection of FM 1385 and Parvin Road. Despite the opposition, the town has approved a 13.6-acre commercial development on the northwest corner of Preston Road and Prosper Trail. The development was modified after 23 residents spoke out against it.

Rio Mambo Tex Mex y Mas in Colleyville has closed its doors, according to a lockout notice on the door. JPMorgan Chase has signed a lease for a new office in Frisco's Hall Park and will be hiring over 100 new employees. Chicken Salad Chick is set to open its first Denton location.
