Said Drops Gutman from Wrongful Termination Lawsuit Against ABC News

ABC News field producer Samaira Said has dropped her lawsuit against former colleague Matt Gutman, now a chief correspondent with CBS News. The move was made without explanation in a court filing on Friday. Gutman had been named as one of the defendants in Said's wrongful termination lawsuit last month.

The lawsuit alleged that Gutman had made demeaning statements about Said during their time working together at ABC, including reducing her professional judgment to a sexualized stereotype. It also claimed that he initiated conversations with other team members rating female colleagues' appearances and making comments about their physical attributes.

Said had filed the lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court, naming ABC, The Walt Disney Co., Gutman, and David Herndon as defendants. She alleged wrongful termination, discrimination, hostile work environment harassment, and retaliation for engaging in protected activity.
