6 Simple Excel Tricks Every User Should Know
Excel power users often spend too much time mastering complex features like Power Query and Python. However, even seasoned users can benefit from a few simple tricks that save time and effort.
Tony Phillips, an experienced Microsoft Office user, recently discovered six everyday Excel tricks he wishes he'd known earlier. These shortcuts take mere seconds to learn but have significant implications for productivity.
The first trick is duplicating a worksheet without opening the dialog box. Instead of right-clicking and navigating through menus, simply hold Ctrl while dragging the worksheet tab to the desired location.
Another useful feature is clearing filters without losing filter buttons. To do this, open the Data tab, select the Sort & Filter group, and click Clear. Alternatively, press Ctrl+Shift+L twice on a cell within the dataset.
Phillips also recommends using Shift+F8 to activate Add to Selection mode when selecting multiple ranges without holding Ctrl. This feature is particularly useful for building formulas that require multiple ranges.
