A 7-year-old girl was shot and killed while sitting in a car with her father at a McDonald's drive-thru in Chicago on Sunday, April 18. Jaslyn Adams was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident occurred around 4:30 pm when a man pulled up behind them in his vehicle and fired multiple shots into their car, police said. The motive for the shooting is still under investigation.

Jaslyn's father was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
