$75 Million Series C Financing Pumps Up BigHat Biosciences' AI-Driven Protein Therapeutics
BigHat Biosciences has secured $75 million in Series C funding to further develop its AI-driven platform for protein therapeutics. The round was co-led by DFJ Growth and Premji Invest, with participation from several prominent investors including Amgen Ventures, Eli Lilly, and Andreessen Horowitz.
The company's platform combines frontier AI with autonomous experimentation to generate biological data at scale. This integrated approach enables BigHat to rapidly design and optimize therapeutics for clinical development. The funding will support the growth of this platform and advance its pipeline, including BHB810, an AI-designed biologic that is currently in human trials.
The company has made significant progress since its Series B financing in 2022, with several notable achievements, including dosing the first patient in a Phase 1 trial for its lead program, BHB810. BigHat also plans to begin human trials of another development candidate, BHB299, in 2027.
