91-Year-Old McDonald's Worker Wins Hearts Online
Eric Edwards, an adventurous 91-year-old widower, has been working at a McDonald's in Coventry, England for eight years. He recently gained online praise after a family posted about his kindness and work ethic on Facebook.
The family, who visited the restaurant with their children, were impressed by Edwards' dedication to his job. They praised him for clearing up rubbish and helping customers, and noted that he even took the time to chat with their kids and give them coloring books.
Edwards was surprised by the attention, but said it's all part of being a team player. 'If it's something you're doing and you can still do it reasonably well, enjoy it and it keeps you going, why stop?' he told the BBC.
Before working at McDonald's, Edwards had a varied career, including stints at General Electric Company, Daimler Motors, and Walsgrave Hospital. He said that working at the fast food chain helps keep his adventurous spirit alive, and that he enjoys activities like parachute jumping and zip lining.
