96 Percent of Indian Firms Hit by Disruptive Cyber Incidents
Nearly 96% of Indian organisations reported a material, business-disrupting cyber incident in the past year, according to Cisco's latest cybersecurity study.
The report found that organisational friction, including approval delays and fragmented data, remains a significant barrier to cyber defence. Even as AI improves threat detection and response, one in three incidents involved AI-enhanced attacks.
India scored 66 out of 100 on Cyber Defence, with only 8% of organisations falling into the highest-performing category, known as 'Relentless Defenders'. These top performers operate as a single coordinated security team with shared visibility and tools across functions.
