A Life Built on Family, Cars, and Baseball: Remembering Kito Torres Jr.

Kito Torres Jr., a man who built a life in Aurora, Illinois, after traveling over 1,400 miles from his hometown of San Benito, Texas, passed away. He was married to Josefa 'Chefi' Torres for 59 years and had a 45-year career with Caterpillar, where he found a sense of purpose.

Kito's love for cars and baseball was evident throughout his life. He played softball in the local Latin American Club league and coached Little League, enjoying time with young players and teaching them valuable skills.

With his family at the center of his life, Kito welcomed grandchildren into his home and formed deep bonds with them. His love for music also shone through, as he was a fan of Electric Light Orchestra (ELO).

Throughout his journey, Kito touched many lives in Aurora, including coworkers, friends, and family members. His legacy will be remembered by those who knew him, especially Chefi's family, which became part of their own.
