The Airbus A350-1000ULR has set a new record for the longest commercial flight, covering an astonishing 23,075 kilometers in just 24 hours and 24 minutes. This feat surpasses the previous mark of 22 hours and 42 minutes set by a Boeing 777-200LR in 2005.

The A350-1000ULR made its record-breaking journey from Melbourne, Australia to Toulouse, France, with an auxiliary fuel tank holding 20,900 liters providing crucial support. The aircraft's Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-97 engines were designed for efficient and reliable ultra-long-haul operations.

The cabin carried five test engineers and pilots from Airbus and Qantas during the historic flight, which was followed by over 3.6 million people online. This achievement has significant implications for the aviation industry, enabling airlines to plan more efficient routes and reduce costs.
