AA Considers Expanding Starlink Rollout Across Boeing Fleet

American Airlines has been considering an expansion of its Starlink Wi-Fi rollout across its Boeing fleet, after initially announcing plans to only install it on Airbus aircraft. This move comes as part of a broader effort by the airline to upgrade its in-flight internet services.

The original plan, which was announced earlier this year, would have left two-thirds of American Airlines' passengers without access to Starlink's high-speed Wi-Fi. However, with the rollout set to begin on Airbus planes in early 2027, it appears that the airline is now reconsidering its approach.

A trusted aviation insider, JonNYC on X, has revealed that American Airlines is considering installing Starlink across all of its Boeing aircraft, including the 737, 777, and 787 models. However, the airline has yet to confirm whether this expanded rollout will proceed.
