ABB Promotes Rangaswamy R to Chief Financial Officer

Rangaswamy R has been promoted to Chief Financial Officer of ABB Global Industries and Services, marking a significant leadership progression in his nine-year journey with the global technology company.

In his new role, Rangaswamy brings extensive experience across business controlling, financial planning, project finance, risk management, compliance, and accounting. He has worked closely with business and operational teams on financial performance, forecasting, internal controls, and strategic decision-making throughout his tenure at ABB.

Rangaswamy's promotion follows several finance leadership assignments within ABB, where he served as Business Controller, India Operations Center (Industrial Automation) from 2021. Earlier, he was Division Controller, Process Industries, overseeing responsibilities including partnering with business leadership on strategy, monitoring market and customer developments, driving business KPIs, managing risks, budgeting, forecasting, and strengthening the internal control framework.

Rangaswamy's career at ABB began in 2017, after working with Honeywell as Financial Controller. He previously spent three years with Misys as Financial Accountant, managing Indian GAAP accounts, statutory and tax requirements, MIS reporting, and contributing to the implementation of the NetSuite ERP platform.
