Abcuro Secures $66 Million in Series D Funding for Ulviprubart Trial
Abcuro, a biotechnology company developing therapies for autoimmune diseases, has announced $66 million in Series D funding. The financing was led by New Leaf Venture Partners and includes existing investors and new investor Rock Springs Capital.
The funds will support a potentially registrational clinical study of ulviprubart, a first-in-class monoclonal antibody targeting killer cell lectin like receptor G1 (KLRG1), for the treatment of patients with less severe Inclusion Body Myositis (IBM).
Abcuro has been in discussions with the FDA and expects to initiate the study in Q4 2026, with top-line results expected in H2 2028. The company plans to file a biologics license application (BLA) assuming positive results.
