Abel Follows in Buffett's Footsteps with $4.2 Billion Stock Buy
Greg Abel, the new CEO of Berkshire Hathaway, is following in Warren Buffett's footsteps by buying up stock. Specifically, he has recently invested $4.2 billion into his favorite stock, which just so happens to be one that doesn't appear on a list often.
Buffett led Berkshire Hathaway from 1965 to 2025 and turned it into a $1 trillion conglomerate with numerous subsidiaries and a massive portfolio worth $350 billion. He left behind some big shoes for Abel, but the new CEO is taking them seriously by investing heavily in Berkshire's favorite stock.
Buffett had a knack for finding great investments, particularly those that returned money to shareholders through dividends and stock buybacks. He famously invested in Apple and Coca-Cola, which have both paid off significantly over the years.
