Aberdeen Performing Arts Brings Timeless Stories to Stage with New Shows

Aberdeen Performing Arts has announced four new shows at His Majesty's Theatre and the Music Hall, bringing timeless stories and legendary music to the stage.

Theatre-goers will be treated to the electrifying thrill of musical legends in West End blockbuster Million Dollar Quartet, which tells the story of a chance recording session between four iconic musicians - Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, and Elvis Presley - on December 4, 1956. The show features over 20 hit songs performed live on stage, including 'Blue Suede Shoes,' 'Fever,' and 'Hound Dog.'

Million Dollar Quartet will run from May 4 to May 8, 2027. Dickens' ghostly masterpiece, The Signalman, will follow from September 14 to September 18, bringing a nerve-tingling mystery of a tormented signalman haunted by visions of impending disaster.

Younger fans can also look forward to Zog and the Flying Doctors at the Music Hall on July 14-15, 2027, which promises laughter, music, and mischief for all ages. The show follows the adventures of a lovable dragon, fearless Princess Pearl, and trusty Sir Gadabout as they travel the world to help creatures in need.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar will dazzle and delight at His Majesty's Theatre on June 12-13, 2027, bringing Eric Carle's timeless classics to life with a menagerie of over 75 magical larger-than-life puppets. Tickets are available from September 30 for Friends of Aberdeen Performing Arts and October 1 for general sale.
