Accenture Boosts Shares of BPO and Consulting Firms
A number of business process outsourcing and consulting companies saw their shares skyrocket after Accenture's stronger-than-expected results. The IT consulting giant reported a Q4 revenue beat of ~$18.7B, exceeding expectations and easing fears that AI would hollow out traditional consulting demand.
This led to a read-across rally in Cognizant, IBM, Salesforce, and Indian IT ADRs (Infosys, Wipro). Accenture guided fiscal 2027 revenue growth of 3%-6%, sparking optimism among investors.
Among the companies impacted were Concentrix (NASDAQ:CNXC), Huron (NASDAQ:HURN), and TaskUs (NASDAQ:TASK), which jumped 10.8%, 7.3%, and 6.3% respectively.
