Accenture Earnings Boost IT Stocks, IBM's AI Move Sparks Rally
A strong earnings report from Accenture and IBM's announcement of a self-hosted deployment option for IBM Bob led to a rally in IT consulting and business-services peers. Shares of Concentrix, Huron, and TaskUs skyrocketed as investors reacted positively to the news.
Accenture reported stronger-than-expected results and provided an above-consensus fiscal 2027 outlook, with revenue growth expected to be between 3% and 6%. This lifted IT consulting and business-services peers, including Cognizant, IBM, Salesforce, and Indian IT ADRs such as Infosys and Wipro.
IBM's announcement of a self-hosted deployment option for IBM Bob allows enterprises to run AI-driven software delivery and modernization inside customer-controlled environments. This move is targeted at enterprise AI sovereignty and governance.
The rally in Concentrix shares was particularly notable, with the stock experiencing 48 moves greater than 5% over the last year. Despite its volatility, the company's shares are currently trading 43% below their 52-week high of $48.26 from October 2025.
