Accenture Roars Back to Life with Blowout Q4 Results
Cognizant and IBM led the gains on Wall Street after Accenture's impressive Q4 results boosted sentiment across the sector. The Dublin-headquartered firm reported better-than-expected revenue of $18.7 billion, a 6% increase in US dollars and 7% in local currency. This surpassed analysts' estimates of $18.04 billion.
Accenture also exceeded expectations with consulting revenue totaling $9.28 billion in the fourth quarter. The company's communications, media, and technology segment saw an 11% jump to $3.26 billion during the same period. Additionally, Accenture announced separate deals with Google Cloud, Anthropic PBC, and Amazon Web Services unit.
The firm's Q4 bookings reached $22.2 billion, beating the estimated $20 billion. For fiscal 2027, Accenture forecasts revenue growth of 3% to 6% in local currency, with GAAP diluted earnings per share predicted between $14.39 and $14.81.
