Accenture Shares Soar on Strong Q4 Results and Optimistic 2027 Outlook
Accenture shares surged 20% in morning trading on Thursday after the consulting and technology-services company reported fiscal fourth-quarter results that exceeded market expectations. Quarterly revenue rose 6% year over year to $18.7 billion, while GAAP diluted earnings increased 46% to $3.29 per share.
New bookings reached $22.2 billion, up 4% in U.S. dollars, with consulting revenue at $9.28 billion. Accenture also provided its initial fiscal 2027 forecast, expecting revenue growth of 3% to 6% in local currency.
The company projects GAAP diluted earnings of $14.39 to $14.81 per share and an operating margin of 15.9% to 16.1%. Accenture's strong quarterly results and optimistic outlook lifted several peers, including Cognizant Technology Solutions, Infosys, and IBM.
