Accenture's Strong Earnings Spark Rally in IT Consulting Stocks
A recent surge in IT consulting and business-services stocks has investors taking notice. Accenture's impressive quarterly results and above-consensus fiscal 2027 outlook have lifted peers, including Cognizant, IBM, Salesforce, and Indian IT ADRs (Infosys, Wipro).
Accenture's Q4 revenue beat expectations at $18.7 billion, easing fears that AI would hollow out traditional consulting and outsourcing demand.
The company also guided fiscal 2027 revenue growth of 3%-6%, sparking a read-across rally in the sector. IBM separately announced a self-hosted deployment option for IBM Bob, aimed at enterprise AI sovereignty and governance.
Several stocks have jumped as a result, including EPAM (NYSE: EPAM) with a 6.8% increase, DXC (NYSE: DXC) with a 5.7% jump, Everforth (NYSE: EFOR) with an 11.7% surge, EXL (NASDAQ: EXLS) with a 6.2% rise, and Grid Dynamics (NASDAQ: GDYN) with an 8% increase.
