AerCap Chooses GEnx-1B Engine for Additional 15 Boeing 787s

AerCap Holdings N.V., the world's largest owner of Boeing 787 aircraft, has selected the GEnx-1B engine to power an additional 15 Dreamliners. This move reinforces AerCap's commitment to reliable and cost-effective long-haul operations.

The GEnx engine boasts a impressive dispatch reliability rate of 99.98%, staying on-wing at a rate three times higher than competing engines. GE Aerospace has upgraded the engine's high-pressure turbine blades and combustor coating technology, more than doubling its time on wing in harsh environments.
