AerCap Reports Strong Q3 Transactions with Significant Lease and Sale Activity
AerCap Holdings N.V. reported robust activity in the third quarter of 2026, signing 85 lease agreements across various aircraft types. The deals included 16 wide-body aircraft, 45 narrow-body aircraft, 13 engines, and 11 helicopters. This activity reflects the company's ongoing efforts to manage and reposition its portfolio efficiently.
The company also completed 34 purchases during the quarter, adding 32 aircraft and two helicopters to its portfolio. Notable acquisitions included eight Airbus A320neo family aircraft, 20 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, two Boeing 787-9s, and two Embraer E195-E2s. These additions are part of AerCap's strategy to bolster its owned portfolio with modern and efficient aircraft.
AerCap executed 85 sale transactions, covering 65 aircraft, 13 engines, and seven helicopters. The sales included a mix of Airbus, Boeing, and Embraer models from both its owned and managed portfolios. The company also secured financing transactions worth approximately US$900 million and repurchased 5.3 million shares at an average price of US$147.12 per share, totaling about US$783 million.
In addition to its transactional activities, AerCap declared a quarterly cash dividend of US$0.40 per ordinary share. The quarter's performance underscores the company's strong market position and its ability to navigate the dynamic aviation leasing landscape.
