AFCOM Holdings Signs LOI for Up to Four Boeing 777-8F Freighters
AFCOM Holdings has taken a significant step in its expansion plans by signing a Letter of Intent (LOI) to purchase up to four Boeing 777-8F wide-body freighter aircraft. This move marks AFCOM's entry into the wide-body cargo market, which will enable it to target international long-haul cargo routes.
The new fleet will offer approximately five times the capacity of AFCOM's existing B737-800 narrow-body fleet and is intended for routes requiring 10 to 12+ hours of flight time. The agreement with Boeing represents a major leap in AFCOM's fleet expansion, and if finalized, it will become the first Indian carrier to order the next-generation 777-8F freighter.
AFCOM has recently completed a QIP, raising ₹199.85 crore, which will support its fleet expansion plans. The company reported a strong Q1 FY27 performance, with standalone net profit rising 86.06% YoY to ₹39.24 crore and revenues expanding 48.12% YoY to ₹176.1 crore.
