Agentforce Stumbles: Salesforce's AI Agent Platform Fails to Deliver on Promises

A report by TD Cowen has revealed that Salesforce's AI agent platform, Agentforce, is not delivering meaningful growth to customers two years after its launch. Despite reaching $1.2 billion in annual recurring revenue, partners are still struggling with customer adoption.

The survey found that only one-third of partners reported strong interest in Agentforce at the moment, while 56% anticipated upcoming interest but acknowledged that customers need time for initiatives to mature. This is a concern for Salesforce, which has transitioned to become an AI-first company and sees agentic AI as 'the biggest growth opportunity' for its customers.

The report also highlighted a 10pp drop in partners meeting or beating commercial targets, from 43% last quarter to 33% this quarter. This is in line with earlier findings by KeyBanc Capital Markets that customer data was still not good enough to fully benefit from agentic AI.
