AI Chiefs Warn of Failing 'to Control What We Create'

Microsoft AI Chief Mustafa Suleyman recently warned that the rapid development of powerful artificial intelligence systems must remain anchored to human control. Speaking on CNBC's Squawk Box, Suleyman stated that it would be a fundamental failure to create technology its creators cannot manage.

Suleyman emphasized the importance of ensuring AI systems align with humanity's interests and safety requirements. He acknowledged the difficulty in maintaining meaningful control over increasingly sophisticated systems, describing controlling them as 'a really, really big challenge'.
