AI Job Market Defies Industry Trends as Palo Alto Networks, Nvidia Hire Hundreds

While many tech giants are cutting jobs due to the economic downturn, two major players in the AI industry, Palo Alto Networks and Nvidia, are bucking the trend by aggressively hiring hundreds of engineers and researchers in Israel.

Palo Alto Networks' Head of People, Galia Eckstein, says that the company needs developers who can work alongside AI systems, critically evaluate AI-generated output, and adapt continuously as new tools emerge. They are looking for employees with deep technical knowledge but also those who possess critical thinking skills to review and improve AI-produced results.

Despite the industry's focus on experienced AI talent, Palo Alto continues to invest heavily in university graduates, hiring between 30 and 60 students annually through its graduate hiring program. The company provides training, mentoring, and a supportive community for these new employees.
