AI Leaders Call for Safety and Transparency at Dreamforce 2026
At Dreamforce 2026 in San Francisco, more than 43,000 attendees gathered to discuss the rapid growth of artificial intelligence (AI) and its economic impact.
Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff interviewed Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei about the pace of AI development and its effects on the economy.
Amodei called for greater transparency and stronger safety practices across the industry, stating 'Let's look at our own record, right? We may not have had this big high-profile incident, but I'm sure we're not perfect. Let's look at everything and we can always be better.'
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang also addressed AI safety during the conference, saying that companies should only release products or services if they are confident in their functionality, capability, or safety.
Benioff echoed this sentiment, stating 'We're in a very fluid moment now. And I think that as we kind of start to get our head around what are the capabilities of the models who can do what.'
