Air India Expands Canadian Network with New Mumbai-Toronto Route and Upgraded Delhi Flights
Air India has announced significant upgrades to its Canada operations, including a new Mumbai-Toronto non-stop service and an upgrade to its Delhi-Toronto route.
The airline will launch a seasonal non-stop service between Mumbai and Toronto on October 25, 2026, operating three times a week during the Winter 2026 schedule.
This marks Air India's continued expansion in Canada, which has emerged as one of its most strategically important international markets. The new route adds nearly 2,000 seats each week between India and Canada and makes AI the only carrier operating direct flights between the two cities.
The Delhi-Toronto route will also see an upgrade with Air India deploying its brand-new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner on the service, replacing the older 777 aircraft. The new aircraft features Air India's latest generation cabins, including Premium Economy and non-stop operations.
