Air India Upgrades Tokyo Mumbai Route with New Boeing Configuration

Starting February 1, 2027, Air India will introduce newly configured Boeing 787-8 aircraft on its Tokyo/Haneda, Mumbai route. The current configuration has a total of 259 seats: 18 in business class and 241 in economy class.

The new aircraft will offer a total of 250 seats: 20 business class seats in a 1-2-1 layout, 25 premium economy class seats in a 2-3-2 layout, and 205 economy class seats in a 3-3-3 layout. The monitor sizes for each class will be 17 inches, 13.3 inches, and 11.6 inches, respectively.

The aircraft feature Elevate Aircraft Seating's 'Ascent' seats in business class, RECARO Aircraft Seating's 'PL3530' seats in premium economy class, and RECARO Aircraft Seating's 'CL3710' seats in economy class.
