Akasa Air Insists Boeing 737 MAX Fleet is Safe Amid Software Glitch Concerns
Akasa Air's Boeing 737 MAX fleet is safe despite concerns over a software glitch, according to CEO Vinay Dube. The airline has not encountered the specific situation in its four-and-a-half years of operations.
The issue can affect automated flight guidance during landing, but pilots can maintain manual control of the plane. Dube explained that this is not a universal software issue and occurs only in a very specific manoeuvre.
Akasa has 43 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft and holds the largest order for the plane, with a total of 226 units scheduled for delivery by 2032. The airline's fleet remains safe despite the glitch, which is being addressed by Boeing with a software fix.
