Akasa Air Insists Safety Not Compromised by Boeing 737 MAX Software Glitch

Akasa Air, India's third-largest airline, has confirmed that its operations remain safe despite a software issue identified in certain Boeing 737 MAX jets. The airline stated that it is closely coordinating with Boeing to address the glitch, which could cause pilots to lose access to automated flight guidance during a specific landing scenario.

Boeing disclosed the issue last month and has informed all 737 operators about the matter. The company is working on a software update to permanently fix the problem. Existing pilot procedures are sufficient to safely manage such situations until the permanent fix is introduced, according to Boeing.

Akasa Air did not clarify whether any of its aircraft have been directly affected by the software issue. However, the airline emphasized that its planes continue to operate safely and in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
